when we consider the entire blood issue, does any jws consider that everytime we eat any meat at all we are partaking of blood?
heck, my understanding of nursing is that babies often get a good dose of mothers blood-you would not believe what the lactation consultants say you have to nurse through!!
so then, after looking at the bible instructions about blood, would not one need to consider the context?
I remember when I was a kid we couldn't eat at Wendy's because someone said the burgers had blood in them, does anyone else remember this?
.
ok, i'll start with myself.
i'm a nut job, hey i bet you never knew that !!!
I love museums
well, it's been about 6 months or so since i've turned in a time report and things are heating up a bit.
i still attend the meetings with my wife - i am still "visible" - but i have not gone out in service for a conspicuous amount of time.
just this afternoon the po called and wanted to meet with me.
Tell them your a Jedi Master
Chuckie, You are so right what was I thinking, damn I'd better drink my guilt away!
I'ms Sorry Jemima, I didn't mean to have another pagan birthday, I promise I won't again, well at least not till 365 days from now!
IF NOT,
THEN WISH ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
i am so sick of this!
i have a split family, some non-jw and some jw, and ever since i was a young kid, ive noticed this silly fear of entering a church, i remember i must have been about 9 years old when my uncle died and my family went to the funeral, but we stood outside, and even at that young age i remember it felt wrong, like we were disrespecting my dead uncle and his family.
like ive wrote on this board before, i told my parents when at 15 i didnt want to go to meetings anymore and was never baptized, when i was 18 my great uncle died and at the funeral i went into the church for mass, when it was over i walked outside all the rest of my family were outside waiting, they all gave me dirty looks like i was just caught with a prostitute.
From what I've read from all of you, going inside a church IS a conscience matter, well if your conscience is dictated by the Elders, and others in your hall! How can they say its a conscience matter, is it for if any worldly people question them about it putting the responsiblity on themselves instead of the ORG, better to make me look bad the JW ORG.
ok, everyone, you know my story by now.
we da ourselves a week ago.
my mom wrote me a letter saturday disowning me.
Wow they are everywhere in your town, damn bet you can't go to McDonalds because they might spit in your egg McMuffin! Sorry to hear that, seems like DF gives the common JW a bit of power to make others feel bad for leaving the cult.
Next time I would say writing a letter to the corporate office Attn: Consumer Relations Dept. and cc: to Store manager, Just let them know how their employee treated you based on HER religious beliefs and are those that are supported by Petsmart.
I love writing letters, last one was over really bad service I got at a local restaurant, the corporate office sent me a gift certificate with a letter that the problem had been resolved. I don't like getting people fired but I don't like to be treated like shit and pay them money for the pleasure.

We would'nt go to the church but the reception
Yeah a bunch of them came to the reception and ate my food, and drank my booze? I don't understand it, really I don't. Ok because a wedding is a celebration of Marriage, our marriage took place inside Saint Mary's Church, the celebration dinner was inside a hotel ball room, the food was blessed by the priest. yet they ate and drank and some got a little drunk! I guess free food is not a matter of conscience!
